10 Fake Movies Within Movies That We Really Want To See

2. Satan's Alley (Tropic Thunder)

Yeah, yeah, we really like the fake movies from Tropic Thunder. But this is the final one to make it onto our list (we promise), and it's Satan's Alley, a pitch-perfect parody of pretty much "every Oscar-winning movie ever." Set in and around a monastery, Satan's Alley (that title is so wrong) tells the story of two monks who - despite it going against everything they believe in - fall in love. Starring Kirk Lazarus, who puts in another Oscar-winning performance as the exiled Father O'Malley, and Toby McGuire, who plays his lover, Satan's Alley would likely have won a whole bunch of Oscars in real-life, should it have ever really been made. Complete with faux-arty shots of crashing waves and featuring an over-the-top string-heavy musical score, Satan's Alley is one of the downright funniest fake movies ever conceived.
