Even when the filmmaker's intentions are good, the actor or actress who was asked to bare it all on film might look back on the moment they wore nothing but a smile with a big ol' frown.
Maybe they were pushed to get undressed by their agents or the director. Or maybe they wore their birthday suit happily, because they were young and confident, and reflecting on their freer selves through a more mature lens gets their cheeks blushing.

Playing the role of the college-aged seductress to the unhappily-married Zach Braff, Rachel Bilson had to get hot and steamy with Braff for a supremely uncomfortable looking sex scene. But aside from the ickiness of the scripted situation, there's another reason the scene doesn't exactly ooze sensuality: Bilson was very reluctant to be nude on camera.
It was during an interview with Playboy magazine, of all places, that Bilson revealed her discomfort on the set of The Last Kiss, and stated the expected nudity was "almost a deal breaker".
“The movie was rated R, and they like to put in nudity wherever they can, but I’m pretty strong willed and believe it can be avoided.”
Ultimately, Bilson agreed to show some skin rather than giving up the role. But she hasn't bared it all for the cameras since, and you shouldn't expect her to any time soon.
