Female superheroes are rarely granted their own feature films (and when they have been in the past, the results have often proven horrific). Here's 10 heroines who really deserve a shot, though.

Studios are giant scaredy cats. Despite making billions of dollars in the time it takes me to just Google the words €˜Avengers 2€™, the big wigs who decide which comics to adapt next are still terrified of granting a female superheroes their own films. Sure, Elektra and Supergirl set everything back a thousand years, but come on! The Hunger Games has proven beyond that strong female protagonists can still provide huge box office results, after all. €œWhat about Wonder Woman?€ I hear you cry. Sure, horny guys and feminists worldwide were ecstatic to recently learn that Wonder Woman is making her first cinematic appearance in the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman movie and that€™s great, but why not give the Amazonian princess her own movie? Same deal with Marvel€™s Black Widow. Why does she always have to be the supporting character in the men€™s movies? Producers need to get with the times and take a chance on one of the following 10 female superheroes, then, who certainly deserve their own film after all this time. I€™ve also included casting suggestions for those producers who may be tempted to choose Halle Berry for every role. Please, whatever you do, casting producers: don€™t put Halle Berry in anything you make. Agree with me? Disagree? Feel free to let me know in the comments section below.
