As Sylvester Stallone's iconic antihero ominously intoned during the long-awaited fourth movie; 'when you're pushed, killing's as easy as breathing'. 

This statement is both fitting and ironic, seeing as John Rambo boasts 240 confirmed big screen kills to his name despite only being responsible for one death during in First Blood after throwing a rock at the helicopter that causes Deputy Art Galt to fall to his doom.

The three sequels all followed the pattern of having Rambo dishing out death as if it was nothing as the franchise transformed from the psychological thrills of First Blood into mindless shoot-em-ups. It was the fourth entry that saw Rambo rack up his highest body count with 81 kills, and most of these came in the space of a few minutes as the Vietnam veteran commandeered a truck-mounted machine gun and absolutely laid waste to the Burmese militia.
