Sometimes the critics get it wrong. This is a fact of the film industry. A film critic has to make a judgement of a film immediately after seeing it and, sometimes, their assessment can be way off the mark. There are many instances of critics recanting their opinions years later. Films now considered some of the best of all time were, at one point, lambasted for various reasons. Many times a film will come along that is well and truly ahead of its time and people simply don't know how to react to it. Citizen Kane, The Wizard Of Oz, Fight Club, Bonnie And Clyde, The Graduate... the list goes on and on. All of these films took a pasting from critics and look at where they are now: audience and critics resoundingly agree that these are some of the greatest achievements in motion picture history. But what about recent films? It's easy to talk about Citizen Kane and Bonnie And Clyde many decades after the fact, but what about films that critics have trashed in more recent times? Oh, there are plenty of those, too. There are many recent cases of reviewers attacking films and getting it very, very wrong - like with these ten. Could they be regarded as classics in years to come? Only time will tell.
