10 Films DC Should Make Instead Of A Joker/Harley Rom-Com
10. Supergirl
It's time to bring back the Girl of Steel, and keep the female superhero ball rolling.
Wonder Woman is the DCEU's best-received movie released so far, and made a huge step forward for superhero films as a genre by pushing a female lead focus. Marvel Studios, even after nearly twenty films, still hasn't done it. So why not keep the ball rolling at DC Entertainment and bring Supergirl to the big screen.
We've already seen that there's no problem having a hero both on the big screen and the small screen with the Flash, so there shouldn't really be any concerns with clashing with the character's TV show.
And it's not hard to fit her into the existing narrative of the DC connected universe of films mythology. It's already established that Krypton sent out scouting parties to the stars over time, and that one of those parties may even have come to Earth. They may need to change Supergirl's relationship to Superman, but hey, that's what adaptation is for.
Plus, this is an opportunity to focus on a strong female character and maybe forego the romance subplot element entirely. Just have a powerful Kryptonian young woman saving the day.
