Tales From the Hood is a classic anthology film with horror tales focused primarily on the African American community. In the third tale of the anthology, entitled KKK Comeuppance, a racist and former Ku Klux Klan member-turned-senator, Duke Metger, has decided to make a former slave plantation his base of operations. Classy! Naturally, Duke is met by protesters and it is revealed that the plantation is haunted by dolls possessed by the spirits of the plantation's previous slaves. Duke blows off the warnings until he comes face-to-face with one of the voodoo slave dolls. Even though Duke does quite the number on the doll, it proves resilient and eventually brings in reinforcements to put an end to Duke once and for all.Why You Rooted For Them: Because watching racist politicians with no etiquette or manners get their overdue punishment is always a treat, especially in horror films when you can guarantee that punishment will be painful and grotesque.
