No list of terrible movies would be complete without an appearance from Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, who somehow keep getting work in Hollywood despite churning out some of the most reprehensible excuses for studio 'comedies' that have ever seen the light of day. It speaks volumes about the consistent quality of their output that they have directed seven movies, the highest-rated of which currently sits at a whopping 6% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Starving Games sees the duo right in their wheelhouse, churning out a painfully unfunny comedy that makes the most recent Scary Movies look like works of genius by comparison. Mistaking pop culture references and puerile humor for genuine laughs, this barren wasteland of comedy attempts to 'spoof' everything from The Hunger Games to The Expendables over 83 minutes of insufferable awfulness. Thankfully, the movie tanked at the box office and failed to even recoup the $4.5m budget, hopefully closing the door on any more of these terrible excuses for parody hitting the big screen anytime soon.
