10. Mrs Doubtfire

There are a few things about Mrs. Doubtfire that should raise alarm bells. Like the fact that Robin Williams' Daniel and Sally Fields' Miranda decide to have their "let's get divorced" chat right in front of their children. Or the fact that we're supposed to root for a guy who is patently irresponsible and who then lies to his children and takes his ex-wife's money while in violation of a court-mandated custody arrangement. But none of that is as bad as the climactic scene in the restaurant where Daniel nearly murders Miranda's new partner. Stu (played by Pierce Brosnan) reveals that he's allergic to pepper, so Daniel (in Doubtfire attire) heads into the kitchen and dumps a whole load of it on his dinner. He thinks the better of it and saves him in the end but "kill him with dinner" is a pretty grim first instinct.
