7. Closer (2004)

Never has there been such a pretty cast doing such ugly things as in Closer, a €œromantic€ drama starring Jude Law (Dan), Natalie Portman, Julia Roberts (Anna) and Clive Owen (Larry). This ridiculously attractive foursome unintentionally enter into a tug-of-war, creating a set of relationships so complex that you may require a diagram €“ or else just assume that everyone sleeps with everyone else. Why is it anti-love? Closer€™s anti-love vibe is best summed up by Clive Owen when he spurts, €œWhat do you have to do to get some intimacy around here!€ The whole film has an uninvolved feel to it and projects the idea that knowing someone completely, and being able to trust your perception of them is impossible. Most anti-love moment? Natalie Portman donning a pink wig and performing a seedy strip for Clive Owen to the sound of Prodigy€™s Smack My B**** Up.
