10 Great Movies About Hollywood

10. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019)

Quentin Tarantino's latest picture has already proven to be one of his most acclaimed, and it's easy to see why.

A love letter to 1960s Hollywood and a daring portrayal of real life people and events - namely Sharon Tate, Roman Polanski and the Manson Family - Once Upon A Time In Hollywood follows actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) as they navigate the pitfalls of Hollywood and their fading careers.

Full of typically quick-witted dialogue from Tarantino and a career-best performance from Brad Pitt, who took home his first Oscar, Once Upon A Time is a long but pitch-perfect slice of cinema. Big, brave, and close to overflowing with brilliant pop culture references and a staggering ensemble rounded out by Margot Robbie, Al Pacino, Timothy Olyphant and Bruce Dern (to name but a few), it's a guaranteed future classic.

Underneath the nostalgia and the colourful set pieces, Once Upon A Time is one of the best films of 2019, and a risky but successful portrait of a time in Hollywood lesser directors would have found far too daunting to undertake.
