You've got to give them props; Marshall and Lily are the couple that you don't mind being third wheel to. While they can be exuberantly annoying together, they do work out so well as a couple that you could never deny them a time together. And while there are plenty of fans who like Barney and Robin or Ted and Robin more, Marshall and Lily rightfully earn their place as the great couple in How I Met Your Mother. Even if you never did before, the show makes you want a Lily or a Marshall all for yourself, just because of how fantastically they butt heads or come to conclusions together. If anything, just please never make us sit through them breaking up again.
