10 Greatest Indiana Jones Movie Moments
10. The Bridge – The Temple Of Doom
The Temple of Doom is normally regarded as the weakest entry in the Indiana Jones trilogy. Yet there’s no denying it’s still a thoroughly entertaining film full of well-directed action sequences.
After escaping from the Temple of Doom via a minecart, Indy, Shorty, and Willie find themselves trapped on a rope bridge with no means of escape. In response to this predicament, Indy chops the bridge in half with a machete, sending many Thuggees into the watery depths below.
An intense action sequence then follows with Indy fighting against the high priest whilst attempting to climb back to safety. The music from John Williams heightens the tension still further, and the practical stunts have not aged a day since the film’s release back in 1984.
This scene may not be the greatest ending to an Indiana Jones movie, but it makes for a gripping action set-piece all the same.
