10. "I Am Iron Man" - Iron Man

The first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the one that started it all.

Released in 2008, Iron Man introduced viewers to Tony Stark – a billionaire playboy and weapons manufacturer for the US military. Ambushed by terrorist group known as The Ten Rings while demonstrating a new missile in war-torn Afghanistan, Stark is imprisoned and forced to build a new weapon of mass destruction for the villains. But Tony and fellow imprisoned scientist Ho Yinsen create a mechanised suit of armour in a bid to overthrow their captors and escape.

Once free, Tony uncovers shocking truths about his company, Stark Industries, and adds more sophisticated weapons (and a lick of red paint) to the suit of armour that will help him become known as Iron Man.

The final scene of Iron Man sees Robert Downey Jr's Stark take to the stand at a press conference following the climactic battle that wreaked havoc on Stark Tower. When it seems like Tony is about to come up with some fabrication to explain recent events, he confesses to the world’s media that he is indeed the Iron Man, much to the shock and frustration of Happy Hogan and Pepper Potts.
