This is one of the most unexpected moments in the film and its the jarring nature of the scene that makes it so great. The scene starts out very quietly with Barry driving his new found love Lena home when all of a sudden a truck slams into Barry's car out of nowhere mildly injuring Lena. This scene is great for many reasons with the main reason being we finally get to see Barry fight back after being oppressed the entire film. After his car is wrecked Barry beats his victims with his fists and a tire iron and the violence of the scene has a very cathartic feeling since Barry is standing up for the woman he loves.
