In the risk of turning the whole series upside down, Harry’s parents are both people I’m sure people would love to see more of. The beloved pair are described so positively by everyone (apart from Snape of course) that there’s a yearning to want to know more.
Both talented people, they were both killed when Harry was a baby by Voldemort due to the betrayal of friend Peter Pettigrew. But what if they hadn’t died? What if Voldemort had been defeated some other way?
All this questions and more could be answered. Harry would have grown up with his parents and could have had the help of them while defeating Voldemort. Sirius would have had his friend and wouldn’t have gone to Azkaban. As fans we would have got to know them as people rather than just memories from other people Harry encounters. So many possible alternative storylines so little time.
