10 Hidden Details That Make Horror Movies Even Scarier

2. The Eye - The Ghost On The Train

It's not a proper ghost story if there aren't spirits hiding in plain sight is it?

The Eye is a chilling horror following Wong Kar Mun, a young woman who undergoes an eye transplant. On the one hand, this is a huge win after being on the donor list for so long. On the other hand, she might have been better jumping to the back of the queue as it turns out her new eyes are haunted.

Oops.

Cursed with the ability to see into the afterlife, receiving shadowy visions of future tragedies and the shapes of ghostly figures, Mun's life quickly becomes a living hell as she struggles to rid herself of these spirits.

While there are some major scares throughout, there are also a bunch of spooky faces hidden throughout otherwise "normal" scenes, which make the audience unable to ever really feel safe.

One of the most effective and notable ones comes during a scene where the character is riding the subway (pictured above). On her right is a window, which briefly flashes the blurred face of a ghostly man watching her from beyond the grave.
