9. George Lucas Provided The Sound Effects For General Greivous' Coughing (Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith)

General Greivous is the kind of bizarre Star Wars character that, depending on how you feel about the prequels in the first place, might make or break you as a fan of the series. Because Greivous - who is supposed to represent the "most feared Jedi-slayer in the galaxy" - somewhat resembles the imaginings of a 10-year-old boy - he has four lightsabers, after all, because that's two more than Darth Maul, you know. And one of Greivous' key traits, aside from being one of George Lucas' most horrible creations, is his trademark cough, which was apparently written in as a character trait to foreshadow the breathing-related ailments that Anakin Skywalker would later suffer. Interestingly, though, Lucas reportedly first came up with the idea to have Grievous coughing after turning up to work one day with a nasty one of his own. He recorded it and put it in the movie on a whim, which says a hell of a lot about Lucas' creative process.
