10 Horror Movie Characters Who Got Advice From THE WORST PLACE POSSIBLE

4. Captain Spaulding Puts The Wheels In Motion - House Of 1000 Corpses

Rob Zombie's 2003 directorial debut, House of 1000 Corpses, introduced the horror world to the visceral, grimy and disturbed aesthetic of the rocker's foray into fully-fledged filmmaking.

The feel, tone and visuals of Zombie's movies most certainly are not for everybody, but there is clearly a rabid fan base who will eat up whatever the White Zombie frontman serves up on the silver screen - particularly when it comes to the torturous, twisted Firefly clan.

For the group of disposable young adults who find themselves thrown into the Firefly world in House of 1000 Corpses, things could've been oh so different had they not sought the advice of Captain Spaulding during the movie's opening act.

Stopping for supplies from Spaulding, the group let their curiosity get the better of them in their quest to pen a book about quirky roadside attractions. Hearing about the ominous legend of Dr. Satan, they poke Sid Haig's crazed clown for further details - to the point where they find out the location of the tree where the doc was supposedly hanged.

From there, it's all downhill when the intended journey to this tree sees them come across Baby - which in turn leads them to their demise at the Firefly house.
