10 Horror Movie Mistakes You Can Never Un-see

9. Curse of Chucky

Released in 2013, Curse of Chucky was a long-awaited return to form for the eponymous diminutive horror icon. Written by franchise creator Don Mancini, this instalment saw the possessed killer doll offing a family of mostly pretty insufferable well-to-do schemers.

It’s a satisfying slasher outing for the villain, but one which had a few unfortunate mistakes nestled in its runtime.

To be fair to the film, the wheelchair-bound heroine Nica represents a commendable attempt to diversify the cast. It’s always impressive for a film to write a disabled character as a protagonist in the horror genre, rather than a side character. For the most part, the character is well handled.

Save for the handful of scenes wherein she bends her knees here and there, a feat fairly rare for, well, paraplegic people. It’s not a glaring problem in most scenes, but the moment near the climax wherein Nica bends her knees in order to shelter in an elevator and hide from the villain is… a pretty important oversight, to say the least.
