10 Horror Movie Mistakes You Can Never Un-see
7. Final Destination 2
The Final Destination series was infamous in the early noughties for its increasingly elaborate death sequences. Where most horror franchises needed to at least make an attempt at creating tension, this was a rare series whose ingenious premise—the grim reaper hunts down teens who had cheated death—promised gore galore without any pesky depth or character.
The second film in the franchise saw the creators send a string of characters to their needlessly complicated deaths, but unfortunately one demise was a little less than perfectly pulled off.
Remember that poor boy who gets smashed to smithereens by a plummeting plate of glass? It’s a memorable moment which sees the poor lad talk to the survivors seconds before the panel drops from a nearby construction site and squishes him in an instant.
Pause before he gets flattened and you’ll see his lengthy apelike arms almost reach his knees, his legs are surreally short, and his torso has grown longer…
Or, possibly, the prop department didn’t make a believable dummy for this brief shot.
