7. MaXXXine

Mia Goth strikes again, this time with MaXXXine, the third and possibly final entry into Ti West's most unexpected X trilogy.

West quite ingeniously shot X and its prequel Pearl back-to-back, and following the rapturous response to both films, has been given the greenlight to produce an X sequel reuniting audiences with sole survivor Maxine Minx (Goth).

Little concrete is known about the threequel - which recently started production in Los Angeles - but West has confirmed that it'll be set in 1985, five years after the events of X, and will follow Maxine's continued attempts to become a Hollywood superstar.

Given the impressive consistency of the first two films in the surprise trilogy, there's no reason to doubt West pulling off the three-peat. For a franchise nobody knew anything about less than a year ago, it's an insanely impressive undertaking.

MaXXXine releases sometime next year.
