10 Horror Movies That Will Make You Terrified Of Children
2. Alien (1979)
Released in 1979, Alien was directed by Ridley Scott,
and starred Sigourney Weaver. It was received positively by critics, and is
still regarded as a cinematic masterpiece, as well as an absolute standout of the genre. As you probably know, there are no children in the movie, none
whatsoever. Regardless, it will singlehandedly make you absolutely terrified of
them, in ways you never thought possible.
After all, the physiology of a Xenomorph is determined by the host, which differs depending on certain environmental factors, such as atmosphere and temperature.
In short, the alien seen in the film is part human as it incorporates the physical characteristics of the person (or cow) it inhabits, down to a cellular level. What does this mean? It means that a Xenomorph receives genetic information from the host, making it the perverted product of interspecies breeding.
Verdict: We all want to pass on our genes (well, some of us), but the movie debauches the concept, making childbirth seems unnatural, or even cruel. It’ll probably put you off children altogether, and at least make you feel gross about the whole thing.
