6. Peyton Reed Wants To Direct An Ant-Man Prequel

It's already been confirmed that Ant-Man will feature flashbacks focusing on the young Hank Pym, and while it's hard to say whether or not the technology required to make someone like Michael Douglas look younger would be feasible for an entire movie, it sounds like something director Peyton Reed is keen on trying out. So, Marvel Studios' first prequel? While the filmmaker is just as interested in a sequel as a prequel, he rightly pointed out that there's "a lot of story to tell with Hank Pym", and a 1960s set movie focusing on the original Ant-Man's adventures with his wife The Wasp could make for Marvel's most unique movie to date. Of course, Reed's enthusiasm doesn't mean it will actually happen any time soon! Despite that, it's a very interesting idea, and one you have to hope has at least been discussed by Marvel. Should Ant-Man prove to be yet another box office hit, a sequel is a given, but it would be a bold and interesting move to take things in the opposite direction. If not on the big screen, why not as a Marvel One-Shot or on the small screen through Netflix?
