10. The Whereabouts Of The Soul Stone - Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War was to be the culmination of everything that came before it in the MCU, but one giant piece of the puzzle was missing. Right up until the release of the third Avengers movie, every Infinity Stone had been revealed but one. The Soul Stone remained a mystery to MCU fans, and though answers were always going to come, most felt they didn’t need to wait, as they had already figured out.

There were several theories as to where the Soul Stone was, and though one popular school of thought was that it had something to do with Heimdall, based solely on the colour of his eyes, most believed it was in Wakanda.

From the trailers it was clear that T'Challa's home would play host to a huge battle, and the most obvious thought behind that was that this was over an Infinity Stone. None of the previously revealed stones were in Wakanda, so this had to be the Soul Stone.

This linked to another popular theory in that the six Stones themselves would spell out T.H.A.N.O.S, as Wakanda's Heart-Shaped Herb would join the Tesseract, the Aether, Doctor Strange's Necklace, the Orb, and Loki's Secptre as an acronym of the Mad Titan's name. This was believed by a lot of fans. No one however, theorised that the Stone lay on a previously unseen planet guarded by the Red Skull.
