This is a scene that just comes out of nowhere and then goes by so quickly that you don't even register the gun going off, going from Vincent and Jules having a conversation about divine intervention, to having both of them covered in blood. The moment of realisation from john Travolta is amazing comic timing:: 'Aw man, I shot Marvin in the face...' Brilliant, the best example of how violence is used in a Tarantino film.
