Don't pretend like you wouldn't go see this. Oh, and this isn't adapted from the animated Transformers movie. We are going full Michael Bay spectacular on this. We would definitely focus on the Sam Witwicky, the horrible humour and especially on his parents. You might shout and scream that this isn't Transformers, but I say phooey to that. As I have explained, musicals can work really well when we are dealing with excess and Bay is nothing if he is not an excessive filmmaker both satirising as well as celebrating the excessiveness of American culture. If we are talking strictly stage, it would be genuinely interesting to see how they pull off the scale of the production, which I think could definitely be done. It actually has the elements of a great, exciting musical, full of action, bangs and who knows, maybe several well thought out songs could give the story that emotional oomph that has been sorely missing in the films. Oh, and if you are worried how on earth they could get a believable transforming effect, don't worry, I've got you covered. Songs: "You eyeballing my piece, 50 Cent?"
