10 Most Incompetent Movie Villains

By Sam Heard /

9. Sol, Vincent And Tyrone (Snatch)

Columbia PicturesSol and Vincent are a pair of small time London crooks who think they€™re ready for the big-leagues and decide to rob a bookies. All too eager to take on the role of being a legitimate gangster, Vinny has acquired the least-inconspicuous shotgun that side of the River Thames which alarms the more level-headed Sol. In one of Guy Ritchie€™s excellent film€™s more memorable lines of dialogue he chastises his dim-witted partner saying €œit€™s a f$*king anti-aircraft gun, Vincent€. Aside from their impractical choice of weaponry, the pair has hired the woefully incompetent getaway driver Tyrone who looks like he couldn€™t escape an unathletic turtle. Not only does Tyrone show terrible driving skills by being unable to park the car in a space big enough to land a €œjumbo jet€ in but he is far more concerned about maintaining the car€™s leather interior than successfully navigating the pair away from the heist. No prizes for guessing that the two wannabe gangsters fail to successfully hold up the bookies as a female clerk €“ clearly not in the least bit intimidated by the incompetent crooks €“ successfully activates the alarm. Things go from bad to worse when they realise that the bookie actually belongs to a real criminal €“ Brick Top €“ who is none too pleased that the idiotic trio had the audacity to try and rob him.
