Look, there's no way around this. Hollywood may have many flaws, but they have a long memory. And the Powers That Be did not take kindly to that stunt that he pulled a few years back where he made a fool out of everyone (honestly, including himself) by pretending to have gone off the deep end pursuing a really terrible rap career, but actually was just making a really terrible faux documentary. Because art. After his ridiculously talented older brother River died tragically at a young age, they really wanted to embrace a narrative where his career was a feel-good story about natural talent and getting to honor his brother's legacy, but after a certain point the Hollywood elite seemed to decide that he was just too out there. Which is a shame, because he has turned in some really fantastic performances over the years and what, like it's uncommon to run across some eccentric actors willing to do weird stuff for their art?
