10 Insane Alternate Endings To 2017's Biggest Movies (So Far)

3. Hobbes And Shaw Team-Up - Fate Of The Furious

Without question the best thing about The Fate of the Furious, aside from that wacky scene with the airplane and the baby seat, were all the moments involving Luke Hobbes (The Rock) and Owen Shaw (Jason Statham) acting as a sort of odd couple.

The Rock and Jason Statham have a natural chemistry and their banter throughout the film gave the franchise an interesting new dynamic: so much so, in fact, that fans have been calling out for a spin-off flick starring this very likeable duo.

Bizarrely, though, Fate of the Furious was originally supposed to end with a post-credits scene that actually saw the pair cementing themselves as a formidable double act - presumably laying the groundwork for future Hobbes 'N Shaw team-up flicks. Apparently the scene would have seen the pair coming to blows again, before stopping to ask one another whether they'd actually work better as a team.

So what the hell happened to this scene, arguably the greatest post-credits scene we've never laid eyes on? According to reports, Vin Diesel - the lead of the franchise if ever there was one - contacted the studio after finding out it had nothing to do with his character and demanded that it was removed. And they quickly obliged.

You can understand his beef, of course, because the scene undermines how essential Diesel is to the franchise. Still... how could ol' Vin deprive the fans of this magic?
