10 Insane Facts You Might Have Missed About Recent Movies

3. A Stunt Woman Out Of Retirement - Final Destination: Bloodlines

When discussing The Fall Guy earlier in this list, some of the more obscure film records were mentioned. Everyone knows Avatar sits atop the list of highest-grossing movies of all time, but it's likely far fewer people knew about the record Final Destination: Bloodlines broke in 2025.

During the film's opening sequence, the first Final Destination footage to have been released in two decades, there are many people seen covered in flames. One of those people was the character, Mrs. Fuller, played by previously retired stuntwoman, Yvette Ferguson.

The astounding thing about Ferguson's stunt? How about the fact that she was brought out of retirement to be set on fire at the age of 71? Proving that age is but a number, she became, according to director Zack Lipovsky, the oldest person ever to be set on fire on camera.

Sequels always have to go bigger and bolder, particularly one that is bringing back a franchise after so many years away, and this isn't a bad way to do it. While The Fall Guy officially entered the Guinness Book of World Records, the stunt team of Bloodlines submitted an official application but never heard back. Perhaps the world just isn't ready for an "oldest person set on fire" category yet.
