2. Thor Losing His Eye Is Foreshadowed Minutes Earlier - Thor: Ragnarok

Mere minutes before Thor (Chris Hemsworth) confronts his half-sister Hela (Cate Blanchett) in the climax of Thor: Ragnarok, he stumbles across a destroyed Asgardian mural of himself, with a fracture tracing directly through his right eye.

This sublimely foreshadows the fate awaiting Thor, that mere minutes later, he ends up losing his right eye in a battle with Hela. It's virtually impossible to spot on a first viewing, but once you know what happens, the subtext begins to speak for itself.

Still, it's just subtle enough to give fans a fuzzy lightbulb moment of recognition when they catch it. God bless Taika Waititi.
