This theory mixes with the conspiracy theory that the Apollo Moon Landing was faked, and a sub-theory that it was orchestrated by a master of cinema, Stanley Kubrick. With the Apollo 11 sweater Danny wears or many other creepy and odd clues that run through Kubricks 1980s adaptation of Steven Kings The Shining, the internet has figured out that The Shining film was actually Kubricks explanation or apology for faking the Apollo 11 broadcast, and when the concept is brought into play of Kubricks famous attention to detail, making sure every small little piece of his film is the exact way he wants it, it actually makes a lot of sense. Everything ever put in a Stanley Kubrick film has been there for a reason, and its almost creepy when the idea is considered that all the references to the moon are more of a reason than the spooky symbolism that haunts the rest of the film.
