10. Nicolas Cage As Dracula - Renfield (2023)

Nicholas Cage has appeared in all manor of films over the years; from the absurdly entertaining Con Air (1997), to the cringe-inducing Wicker Man (2006), and the downright disturbing Mandy (2018). He's done it all. And no matter the calibre of movie, Cage's performances have always contained a certain entertainment factor.

Described as one of the most "fearless" actors of his generation by Quentin Tarantino, Cage certainly doesn't hold back when taking on a role. He seems to have no reservations portraying a quirky comedy character, an action-adventure star, or a protagonist in a psychological thriller.

Soon he will join the likes of Gary Oldman, Christopher Lee, and Bela Lugosi in portraying the fanged villain Dracula in upcoming horror-comedy Renfield. As ridiculous as it might seem to picture Cage as a vampire, it shouldn't be surprising that he's taking on another role he barely seems suited for.

The film will follow the exploits of Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), a servant and devotee of Dracula, as he tries to leave the Count's service after falling in love. Already, this sounds like the most absurd twist on the Dracula story, but with Cage involved it's sure to at least generate a few memes.
