10. The Human Centipede: Feeding Time

It was a sad day for cinema when this horror flick came out. Surely the making of this film signalled the end times for the human race. First there was only rumours, then the trailer dropped, eventually one of your friends informed you they'd actually watched it. What they described was so grotesque and unbelievable that there was no other choice but to watch it yourself.

As the name would hint at, the Human Centipede follows the twisted experiments of a certain Dr. Josef Heiter. Previously a renowned surgeon known for his work separating conjoin twins, Heiter felt like he needed a retirement project. For no apparent reason (other than his insanity) he decided to kidnap a bunch of victims, attach them ass to mouth, and see what happened.

From the outset this movie was hard to sit through. Everyone knew what was coming, but even so it was far more grotesque than anyone could have imagined. After feeding the head of his ungodly creation a bowl of dog food, the diabolic doctor relished watching nature take its course, and we went along for the ride.

A man defecating into the open mouth of a frightened young woman really was a low point of the body-horror genre.
