10. WTF Is Going On In Pinal County, Arizona??

First appearing as a post on the nosleep subreddit in November 2014 from user throwfarfarawayaz, this creepy case is written from the perspective of a local resident from Mammoth in Arizona. The author explains how a mysterious virus has been running rife in the town, first causing an old woman to drop down dead with blood pouring out of her eyes, before moving onto the babies and children around the town.

According to the story, the virus continued to run riot across the town and became so devastating that bodies even began piling up on the side of the roads. The authorities imposed strict rules on people being allowed in or out of the town but, according to the tale, had done a great job in keeping it from going public. Obviously it all makes for a creepy scene, but the true extent in which this tale gripped people can be really be seen in what's happened since the post went live.

Almost overnight, Mammoth's offices, businesses and residents were flooded with hundreds of calls from people all around the world, asking about the supposed pandemic and piles of corpses littering this small town's streets.
