10 Jaw-Dropping Movie Monsters We All Loved To Watch

5. Brundlefly - The Fly (1987)

I would argue that Brundlefly is the most physically disgusting of all the entries on this list. The transformation that Brundle goes through as he morphs into a fly mutant is easily one of the most disturbing things likely to be seen in any horror film; body parts falling off left, right and centre.

The Fly is one of those morbid curiosity films where if the story itself wasn't so good, we'd not want to watch any more, because Brundlefly is just so very repulsive. Man helplessly changing the structure of his own body, all thanks to an accident is so very dark, but the manner in which Brundle's mind changes to match his hideous appearance just tops off how shuddering the film is.

Yet the whole time, we cannot take our eyes off the film, because we're desperate to see the next horrifying state Brundle finds himself in: just how stomach-turningly foul can a creature become to look at?
