8. Karl Urban Is Playing Skurge

Skurge, or The Executioner to give him his more cheerful alternative title, is a long-running supervillain from the comics who wields a particularly impressive double-bladed battle axe.

He's been a lover of Enchantress, but don't expect that here, since Hela is taking the slot for lead villain in her place, and he has frequently been used as a pawn by Loki. Presumably, that's the same dynamic he will take up in Ragnarok.

Interestingly, in the comics Skurge ends up changing sides and sacrificing himself to save his fellow warriors escape Hel. It's that sort of narrative you could see from Urban, given his usual association with anti-heroes rather than flat-out villains.

He's going to have to hit the protein either way.
