5. Captain America: Winter Soldier - Villain Revealed & Torture Scene

The news that Robert Redford had signed on for the Captain America sequel, was probably enough to excite a lot of cinephiles (especially those who might have seen his latest - All Is Lost,) and thankfully the actor hinted in an interview away from the prying eyes of the Marvel PRs that he won't be playing the role he was originally suspected to be. When he was first cast, the actor was said to be playing a superior of Nick Fury, but in the interview in question - with The Straits Times (via Here Be Geeks)- he let slip a little more information than the studio probably wanted him to...

That could mean that his character - Alexander Pierce - is not all he seems, with rumours circulating that he could be Soviet general Aleksander Lukin in disguise - the man controlling the Winter Soldier. Equally, he could just be a S.H.I.E.L.D. leader on a power trip, who clashes with Cap, but there has been some more evidence recently that he's a little more malignant than that... A new leaked set photo featuring a torture chair came with the news that both Chris Evans and Redford will be involved in the scene shown, suggesting that the two were involed in a torture scene of some description.
