7. The Clone Wars Answers
During a panel on Thursday entitled Dave Filoni: Animated Origins and Unexpected Fates, the Star Wars Rebels and Clone Wars creator offered a couple of interesting tidbits on events and characters from his shows that would later have some impact in the Original Trilogy.
For a start, he revealed just how Boba Fett got that dent in his helmet. It comes from an unused (and unfinished) episode of The Clone Wars, which saw Fett have a showdown with Cad Bane, and that he was responsible for making the mark,
It was also revealed that Captain Rex, who has appeared in both TCW and Rebels, is the bearded Rebel fighter we saw alongside Han Solo on Endor in Return of the Jedi. Filoni had previously said he was going to make that canon, and while he didn't outright confirm it, it was very strongly suggested. He showed concept art of Rex's Season 4 costume, and joked about the significance of it. Given previous comments, it could well be taken as confirmation.
