Ultron's destruction at the hands of The Vision took place off-screen in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and theories have persisted ever since that the villainous android may have found a way to escape his fate. However, after he was brought back for a recent VR experience, it's clear Marvel Studios has no plans for the iconic Avengers foe moving forward.

Well, one theory suggests that The Vision we're reunited with in WandaVision will, in fact, be a resurrected Ultron.

It's clear that Tony Stark's creation felt something for the Scarlet Witch, and him tricking her into thinking he's the man/android she loves would be the perfect last straw to push Wanda over the edge into madness.

No one can quite figure out why S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient World Observation and Response Department) is part of WandaVision when they deal with threats from outer space. However, Ultron once tried to conquer the universe, and this theory suggests that they've been tasked with stopping him becoming the next Thanos-level threat to Earth.
