10 Massively Hyped 2017 Movies That Will Definitely Disappoint

10. King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword

Though there hasn't been much hype for this one yet, no doubt there will be a bit closer to the release date next year. But the Guy Ritchie-helmed retelling of the classic King Arthur story looks peculiar to say the least.

A medieval adventure with added fantasy elements, what makes the footage shown in the first trailer so jarring is the use of Ritchie's usual camera tricks and motifs. Stylistic fast motion and quick cuts along with snappy dialogue make it all look like Snatch set in the past... with magic.

The trailer does contain some striking aerial shots of sword and shield battles and the handling of monsters and magic certainly looks intriguing, it's all just undercut by a shadow boxing, martial arts expert Arthur and uses of taglines like 'raised on the streets'.

Guy Ritchie fans might get a kick out of this but the rest of us will likely be imagining what could have been with a big budget King Arthur adventure.
