Lemme guess: you loved Brave, didn't you? I wasn't much convinced. There were good parts, sure, but on the whole, I found it to be a little bland for Pixar's taste - something more akin to something they might rush out over at DreamWorks (no offense DreamWorks), and lacking the detail and density of their classic flicks. But like with so many of the movies on this list, Brave - which focuses on a Scottish princess who longs for adventure and independence - never manages to utilise its full potential: there's so much I felt like we never got to explore. So picture a story that isn't so underwhelming for a potential sequel: one that perhaps takes place when our red-haired heroine is an adult. While we're at it, let's go a bit darker, too, shall we? And how about we make it a fully-fledged adventure with an objective? Something like Lord of the Rings, even, with a story that feels urgent and fresh. I mean, that's not the only route that a Brave sequel could take, but the story in the original never felt big enough for my liking, and that, I think, held it back.
