3. Patrick Leahy in The Dark Knight (2008)

Warner Bros.If the man who tells the Joker €œwe€™re not intimidated by thugs!€ looks familiar, you might indeed be a politics junkie. The man in question is United States Senator Patrick Leahy and just in case you weren't aware, the guy is no stranger to the Batman universe. Leahy lent his voice to an episode of Batman: The Animated Series in 1995, made a cameo in 1997's Batman & Robin and would also pop up again in The Dark Knight Rises as a senior Wayne Enterprises board member. When Heath Ledger€™s Joker crashes a swanky fundraiser looking for Harvey Dent, he ultimately grabs the Senator telling him €œYou remind me of my father,€ before Maggie Gyllenhaal€™s Rachel steps in and breaks it up. The Senator's character is the only one in the room to initially stand up to the Joker, unintentionally highlighting the irony that everybody in the room is, in fact, quite intimidated by the Joker and his goons.
