10 Milestones That Must Happen In The Amazing Spider-Man 3

1. We Need Spider-Man To Give Up

"Woah there," you cry, presumably shocked at the blunt nature of such a statement. But consider two things: The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is probably going to be Andrew Garfield's last movie as a part of this franchise. He's said so on a number of occassions ("Who wants to be a 30 year old Spider-Man?"). And given that Sony are mounting plans to generate a cinematic universe of their own, they're obviously planning to keep the character around. Would it be practical, after all, to just recast the character, when the very essence of a cinematic universe stems from its ability to feel continuous and inter-connected? Probably not. So The Amazing Spider-Man 3 needs to ensure that, should Garfield depart the franchise, it either kills him off or - preferably - finds a way to let somebody else become Spider-Man instead (i.e. Miles Morales). Of course, we'd truly prefer Garfield to just... "stick" around. Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
