10. Thor Barely Wears His Winged Helmet - Thor

In the pre-MCU Marvel comics, you'll be hard-pressed to find an issue where Thor (Chris Hemsworth) isn't wearing his iconic winged helmet or some variation of it, yet in the MCU it's pretty much a non-entity.

Yes, we saw him wear the classic winged helmet for a few scattered moments in the first Thor, and he briefly wore new versions of it in Ragnarok and Love and Thunder, but overall there's clearly a concerted effort to deviate from the superhero's legendary comic book appearance.

Ahead of The Dark World's release, Hemsworth admitted that he lobbied to get rid of the helmet due to how uncomfortable it was to wear, especially during fight scenes.

In addition to this, the MCU has generally veered away from masked superheroes and secret identities, as conveniently allows them to keep their stars' handsome faces on-screen as much as possible.

In Hemsworth's case, it doesn't take a genius to see why Kevin Feige would prefer to keep his gorgeous mug in view at all times, even if many fans would love to see a more source-faithful Thor decked out in the helmet.
