The first of the Dark Gods, Perrikus is the god of Power Unlimited and Energy Infinite and best known for slicing Thor's hammer Mjolnir in half with his scythe.

Perrikus made his comic debut after accidentally being freed from an Asgardian prison by Thor, resulting in him leading his fellow Dark Gods back to Asgard in an attempt to claim it for themselves.

Despite being a relatively niche Marvel villain, Perrikus was originally intended to have a role in Thor: Ragnarok, as confirmed by director Taika Waititi in an interview during the film's press tour.

Waititi didn't specify why it never came to pass, but given the character's totally inessential stature in Marvel lore, one assumes it's likely because the film was already crowded enough and it needed to lose a character or two.
