10. Digging Up Jason - Friday The 13th Part VI

It takes some serious guts to kill a killer, and an absolute morgue full to take down the tried and tested king of killers himself, Jason Voorhees - crowned for racking up the biggest body count of any of the iconic horror villains to date. That didn't stop Tommy Jarvis from doing the impossible in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter though, managing to take Jason down with his very own machete at just 12 years old.

And whilst it's fair that smashing a supernatural murderer's head in at a tender young age might mess him up a little bit, Tommy's got no excuse for the brazenly stupid decision to dig his corpse back up for a little look at how Jason's getting on. Cracking open his coffin and jabbing him with a fence post for good measure, lightning strikes and reanimates the hulking monster once more - giving Jason a whole new level of supernatural ability. Nice going Tommy, you big idiot.

This whole scenario is even worse when you consider Tommy actually had a nightmare in A New Beginning that featured Jason getting dug up by grave robbers and coming back to life for a killing spree, too. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy he's already seen the worst outcome of, and Tommy still goes and does it anyway. Madness.
