2. The Other

The Other opens with a couple, Robin and Daniel, adopting a mute orphan called Kathelia. Although Robin and Daniel are hoping to play happy families, they are inexplicably terrorised by a malicious force soon after. Robin also finds herself having numerous stillborns, even though she's supposedly infertile. And when the source of this evil is unveiled, you don't know whether to laugh or switch the movie off then and there. 

It turns out these supernatural occurrences were caused by Kathelia's twin, who was absorbed in the womb and has been living inside her brain. (It's like Malignant, but worse.) This "Other" was using Robin as a vessel so that she could have her own human body.

When Robin becomes possessed by the Other, Daniel hopes to destroy the titular entity by drilling it out of Kathelia's skull. Despite having no medical equipment or anaesthetics, Kathelia somehow survives the surgery.

The Other, which resembles a foetal monster, shoots out of Kathelia's head and attacks Daniel before being killed, with it's unclear if this means a tiny evil baby has been living inside Kathelia's noggin the whole time.

Although nobody sees this twist coming, that doesn't mean it was a good idea.
