10 More Huge Actors You Didn’t Notice As Extras In Movies
5. Terry Crews - Terminator Salvation
It wouldn't happen in a perfect world, but roles get cut entirely from movies all the time. It doesn't matter the film, or even how big a name the actor in question is, there are characters that will see their entire arc wind up on the cutting room floor.
This essentially happened to one actor in Terminator Salvation, though puzzlingly not entirely. Terry Crews originally had a full role to play in the movie, before all but one moment was cut.
In the immediate aftermath of a nuclear bomb hitting, the camera pans from Christian Bale just for a moment to see Terry Crews, with absolutely no further context or backstory. It's an odd decision that feels as though it may have even been an oversight, simply because of how recognisable Crews is. For anyone who did manage to notice the Brooklyn 99 actor as a corpse among the rubble, this would feel completely out of place.
He's well known enough that seeing him used as an extra in this way just doesn't make sense. It immediately raises questions and takes viewers out of the moment, though in fairness, with Terminator Salvation, this may not be a bad thing, as the only aspect it is ever remembered for is Christian Bale's infamous foul-mouthed rant.
